Given that Mag has spent most of her life in Singapore, she hopes to make this celebration accessible to everyone, regardless of where they currently reside! We understand that travelling from Singapore to New York and vice versa is not the easiest, so please feel free to RSVP for whichever you feel most comfortable attending (or even both, if you so please!).

The Singapore wedding will be an intimate ceremony, with all the features of a traditional Singaporean Chinese wedding (e.g., gatecrashing, tea ceremony). The evening will end with a casual dinner, where the bride and groom are hoping to interact with everyone on a more personal basis. The New Jersey wedding will begin with “Welcome Drinks” in New York City for out-of-towners, to give them an opportunity to meet new people. The main ceremony will take place in Andover, New Jersey at Crossed Keys Estate, with a cocktail hour and reception to follow.

Yes, both weddings will start outdoors! In Singapore, the rooftop solemnization will be sheltered, so it will proceed as such regardless of rain and shine. In New Jersey, the team at Crossed Keys Estate will keep an eye on the weather in real time and assist us with alternative venue arrangements.

Take the NJ Transit train from New York Penn Station to Denville, NJ (Morris & Essex Line). You can take Uber/Lyft from the train station to the venue, but please pre-schedule a return trip as you won't be able to call an Uber/Lyft when the wedding ends. Please look at train times on the NJ Transit Website for exact departure times, and pre-schedule your car ride back. Great question! We’re planning a room block in Morristown for the evening of Saturday, May 1, 2027 and Sunday May 2, 2027. We will arrange a shuttle to and from Crossed Keys Estate from the hotel, so no need to cater additional transportation or worry about additional planning. The hotel we are planning a room block at will be next to the train station, so it should be easy to get to your next destination.

Because of cultural and logistical reasons, please do not feel a need to bring physical gifts to the ceremony. Instead, and consistent with Chinese traditions, red envelopes (Hong Bao) will be greatly appreciated!

We understand how hot and humid it gets in Singapore, so please dress comfortably. As the New Jersey wedding will be a spring wedding, we encourage guests to wear light and bright colors!
